The Special Needs Of The Elderly are specifically addressed in ICDC courses.
From my interviewing several Philippine trained caregivers in 1996 about the type and quality of training they had received, I decided to visit, attend and review several medical training colleges and hospitals, I actually presented to students in several schools, the feedback confirmed that there was a major need for high quality training course materials.
I Visited 7 different caregiver training schools, each approved by TESDA, and was shocked at:
A) The poor and outdated training standards,
B) The outdated mediums used,
C) Materials and training techniques which where outdated and not conducive to either motivation or effective learning
Having worked for over 30 years in the health & safety education & training field, I new that I could provide a higher quality of education & training materials and other resources including DVD’s to make both Caregiver & Safety & Health training more interesting, improving skills, motivation & retention.
